I have been an artist all my life. Twelve years ago I was introduced to the world of minerals, fossils and gemstones. Inspired by their natural beauty, I began creating wearable art jewelry. I look for unusual stones such as pink tourmaline crystals embedded in lavendar lepidolite, ruby crystals in green zoisite, pyritized ammonite fossils, and amethyst stalactite slices. I also work with mabé blister pearls, faceted gemstone beads and freshwater pearl strands. My jewelry is currently being shown in the Amapola Gallery in Old Town Albuquerque. My work has been in a number of galleries throughout the southwest. I had a gallery of my own for five years in Santa Fe, New Mexico (Bollé Gallery in Sanbusco Market Center). I closed the store in January of 2004 so that I could spend more time in the creative process, work with clients on a one-to-one basis, and do fine arts and crafts shows. Each piece I make carries with it a spark from my soul, and it is my hope that through making jewelry I am able to share my creative energy and love of nature's art with others. |
